Thanx for the info, but I think I'll just muddle on with just the desktop version. I may switch to Windows Live which has all of the components I want, and may allow me to download or sync to a smartphone. Your reply is appreciated but I'm not enough of a techie, nor do I have the real necessity, to follow up.   Paulbear

Hi paulbear, Which version Windows 7 you have 64bits or 32bits.

Hi Moira:   4.1.4 works in virtual XP exactly as it does with native XP.  Just remember that you have to load the virtual desktop so that you can access the USB ports.  You get the color.    I tried 6.2 and it would not install for me.   Best, Marshall

Hi Marshall   Brilliant!  Well this machine has a few more months in it I think, but it is starting to show signs of old age (aren't we all...), so when I update I will make sure the new machine can work with this virtual XP also.  Many thanks again for posting that info.   Moira

Hi there, I just installed palm desktop software v4.2 on win 7 ultimate 64 bit. The only problem I have is that the look up field for sorting contact is not working any more.   hotsync works just fine on bluetooth.   So, if you have some ideas regarding look up field ? please drop me a line

Ditech, your answer implies that PD 6.2 is compatible with Windows, is it?
