But in all honesty, why are we declaring the pairing as absolute? Putting the funny aspect aside... The only thing that Naruto can think of "family" is Iruka, Sarutobi, Konohamaru, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Sakura and Sasuke... that's his "family". Naruto feels that Sasuke is a brother to him, because they shared a common childhood, dealing with their pain. The Yin and the Yang... That's why even Sasuke thinks that Naruto is/was something important to him.
