Monta Ellis made it quite clear that he and rookie sensation Curry wouldn't be able to play together. Sounds like a great opportunity to put a package together for an offer

Forget it.
Sasha has negative trade value. Farmar was shopped to Houston for a trade exception, which means the front office doesn't want the salary. If he isn't sent packing by the deadline for an expiring contract, then he'll be simply dropped at the end of the season with Ammo. The Lakers are going to shed contracts, and try filling holes with vets signed at the minimum....

So how do you exactly expect for us to trade for a teams star franchise player that makes 11 Mill a year?
didn't realize he was making that much

the team that should make a hard run for him is chicago imo.
They already have this PG named rose
and if you view monta as a pg, your team will be as successfull as the warriors.

We can't get him, and I wouldn't want him anyway. He's not a good floor general, and I really question his health and remaining athleticism after his moped injury. That, and he plays no defense.

Lakers For Life wrote: Rather pay 11 million to Ellis than Fisher and Morrison. Ellis is an excellent shooter, atleast from watching him torch the Lakers. He's capable of averaging 20+ points. We need a quick PG that can penetrate and give our bigs easy buckets, if not take it himself, I don't mind. But Fisher is done. Brooks lit him up nasty. Bet you anything Mitch is scrambling to upgrade at the PG position. I'd only keep...

Monta's no PG, but it would be hard to play them together - small back court, similar games. i don't think they'll be that small, and personaly - i like what the combination can bring to a...
Hector the Pup wrote: It's amusing that the caveat 'as long as a team is willing to take on his $x contract' can be applied to every player the Warriors would like to trade. Well then why can't we trade them our "as long as a team is willing to take on his $x contract" players for their "as long as a team is willing to take on his $x contract" players? We'll give 'em 2 for 1!

They can buy out Fisher, send him back to LA to retire. I don't doubt anything after getting Gasol for KWAME! Aside from the fact that Gasol was well worth the money and was an elite player. Ellis? Not even close. Don't compare Ellis to Gasol, compare him to what we got now. He'd be...
