Thread: Why not just have an episode with no crime?

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by tth0r
This week's mystery could have been the ring was misplaced. It would have been different, there would have been no ridiculous contrivance to make the crime intimately connected with everything going on, and it would finally show the characters can all bond with no crime at all going on.

Although the mystery part of Monk was never very good, but the show was focused on crime and not Monk character development. The show had completely gone off the track by trying to please shippers, showing little Monk etc. Thank God they stayed off the topic of exploring Natalie' s character and her past with Mitch!
