Maybe you should try the feedback section? Since you're upset with persons not posting appropriately... Just sayin...

Yeah, wrong forum. Make specific feedback posts in the feedback forum or post this type of off general topic stuff in the lounge. {moved to lounge}

Eh, I was going to say something regarding buyers and sellers, but it isn't really important. Rant away, but don't bring up the names of the people you have a beef with. This isn't the place for that sort of thing. Don't even hint at who it is. Thanks

I've noticed that lots of sellers have no posts, which means they are likely hopping from gun forum to gun forum, registering an account, then posting their stuff. They are probably counting on you opting to send an e-mail instead of a PM. But I agree with your rant. If you want to sell something, maintain your ad!

Hasn't happened to me here, but I've had stuff on Craigslist where the responses creeped me out, and I declined to admit that I exist. Some are the usual Nigerians, "Welcome, I have much interested in the items you have and the price seems goodly, please be so kind to respond with your best price and description and I will have my shipper pick it up, please pay him with the excess of the ...

I've made 3 transactions via the ads here. Not a single glitch. All were with known members. I'd be a bit cautious about a deal with a single post member such as seen on the ads here frequently. I would not do anything but FTF with an unknown and insist that before the deal is sealed I have to see the item and agree it is as advertised.

i dont even try to buy anymore because 3 people in a week didnt even reply and atleast say it was gone or anything, i waited to see what they said but nothing....atleast respond one way or the other....its just common courtisy

I've had mixed experiences. One guy had a gun I was ready to buy, but persisted in jerking me around to the point that I would not have taken it at half the price. Another was as pleasant as could be. I do not understand what goes through the minds of people who have willing buyers, but fail to follow through.

For the record, I had a shotgun posted for sale here. After a few weeks of waiting, the buyer and I were finally able to do the transaction today. When I got home, I logged on and sent a PM to the two people who had contacted me about it after the first person(buyer)made an offer. I wanted to let them know that it was no longer for sale. Seemed like the right thing to do. Just sayin'.

The thing is, if you're responding to a *really good deal*, then there are probably a dozen other people responding to that deal too. That's a lot of responses, most of which don't help you sell the gun. Personally, I've done 4 deals on here, and all have gone smoothly. I've probably sent 30-40 pm's to people who had things I wanted though. Some of them reply that it's already taken, some of them don't....
