Why does Parallels put MacFuse in my System Preferences? Anyone have any idea why? Can I just remove it? MBP U...

MacFUSE is an open-source Mac version of the FUSE project from Linux. It allows your Mac to "natively" access all kinds of different file systems. Parallels uses it to access NTFS file systems. I use it so I can connect via SSHFS to my work servers. It is really cool software. MacBook...

ASK VMware. They probably have their own. Maybe they license something else... why should I know why each does what they do, I didn't develop either of them... Mac Pro 8800GT 10K VelociRaptor Mac OS X (10.6.1)...

VMWare has been around for a lot longer and is much bigger. They probably have some proprietary code from the Linux version that they ported to the Mac. MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.7)...

No offence hatter. was just asking. It seems a little strange for a company that specializes in something to go out an use someone else's software to support their own. I like that VMware has their own "in-house". Thanks!     MBP U

VMWare has been around for a lot longer and is much bigger. They probably have some proprietary code from the Linux version that they ported to the Mac. MacBook   Mac OS X (10.5.7)   2.0 Ghz/4GB Ram/200 HD
