Von Wafer got kind of mad that the Rockets talked/signed Ariza before talking to him. (Kind of like how Ariza got mad the Lakers went to Artest before him). Plus, no team in the NBA offered him anywhere near as much money as Olympiakos. For a guy who hasn’t really "banked" in basketball terms his whole career, it would be stupid as fuck to walk away from that offer.

He got overpayed in Europe..They gave him a 2 year 10 million dollar deal....way more than he woulda got in the NBA..
