must stephanie meyers love muse? Causing me to gradually hate muse. I mean I don't even mind twilight that much. But for some reason, muse now causes me to think of nothing but twilight, and I can no longer listen to them. It just angers me. Because I used to love muse. But now I only think of stupid ...
why does Bon iver and Lykke Li have to be on the new moon sound track along with grizzly bear? this pisses me off..one of my friends started to cry when she found out...
Omg, I concur about bon iver. One of my favorite artists ever. I nearly cried when I saw the track list for new moon soundtrack. The thought of extreme twilight fans loving bon iver makes want to die. Those two things just cannot go together. I feel like a douche, because usually I don't give a crap "who...
Heh, I think you have a case of "It's Bad Because It's Popular Now". Whether or not you claim that you liked them before Twilight, it's quite pretentious of you to hate the band. It's not like the quality of their music dropped at all since Supermassive Blackhole appeared in Twilight. I admittedly don't like ...
honestly, who cares? if you like the band you like the band, your opinion shouldn't change just because it's being played in a mainstream teenybopper movie. it's not like they're suddenly going to not sound good anymore because they were in twilight. for example, Imogen Heap has been my favourite artist for ...
Oh haha, yeah I know I shouldn't dislike them. And I mean, I don't really dislike them. I still listen to them and think they are decent band. The music just "feels" different for some reason. But its only like that with muse... I cannot really explain it....
My friend saw Muse on monday night. Aaand I know what you mean about the music feeling different. Like I used to kind of like Tokio Hotel, but then it was on the Hills and now its not the same..
I think I understand what you are saying... like music is changing from inovator to imitator, like the groups are becoming more mainstreem and playing music that appeals to the masses... is that what you are saying?
Yeah... I know. And i totally do like music for the music. Like I have never been one of those people who hates music because it becomes mainstream. And I really don't care if music in indie, mainstraim, or whatever. I very much a music for the music person. But I also relate the music I listen to with things it has been in. Like, when I listen to massive attack, I think of...
How is singing about absolutism ever mainstream anyways? Muse is one of those bands that do what they do because they love it, big names like Radiohead and The Knife do the same. Sure, they do like to appeal to the mainstream, but they're not complete sell-outs.

Like whatever music you like... Everyone has their opinions, and you should be happy that more people are understanding the greatness of the bands you like! Sure, I can relate to the quick shudder of annoyance that runs through the body as others tell you how awesome a band is that you have liked forever.. but hey at least its more people to bond about it with!
