That's around about the time my dad was born.
He had a pretty shit life back then, lost his parents because in the forties women were put into mental institutions if they had a child outside of marriage.
There was also a ton of rationing and it was a pretty miserable time to be a kid.
What else? Oh yeah, no central heating, indoor toilets or even electricity for most. Not exactly ideal....
The greed of the boomers will crush future generations and force them into poverty and grinding desperation.
The old ones should be so proud of what they've achieved in past 60 years.

The original post says that the 1948 generation are going to "take it all with them". Now, this generation may have been lucky, but unless something REALLY big has changed in terms of the rules for entry into heaven or hell, I thought that you definitely couldn't "take it with you"?
