Quite. It's not that they're concerned that Brennan will become overly emotional & suicidal if she were to open up to loving Booth & then be rejected, but rather that she would re-withdraw into her shell & be unlikely to risk taking a chance on love ever again.

You are absolutely correct in saying that Hart Hanson is the third party in the Booth and Brennen relationship. Truer words were never spoken in fact. It is ALL up to him. ?HH is the GOD in this little scenario. And GODS are notoriously fickle. He could destroy those two on a whim. No I didn't mean anyone specifically , I meant anyone in general. The poor guy has been weak at the knees since he first met her I think , and she was obviously attracted too , but not on the same level? , it was much more of a physical thing for her at first... I agree with you that it is Brennan who struggles everyday but I disagree with your saying she is in love with Booth in earlier seasons for the reason. The scene with Sweets/Gordon Gordon was about sex and not about love.? The reason why she struggles everyday with it is because she doesn't understand that it is love that is drawing her to him in a sexual way.? yeah...that would be sad. he so deserves her. i mean, when he said "sometimes you just have to settle for second best," i got the feeling that he was resigned to the fact that she'd never love him, but then he'd be surprised to learn that she loves him. now i just feel like something will happen and he'll have to settle or something. i dont know. just get together already!

I just hope everybody forgets about the scans because they are irrelevant!!! Booth's HEART already knew that he loved Bren he's BRAIN just finally decided to catch on!!!
