Thread: Who here is happily married? Give your secret

I'm 21 and not one of those people who swears to never get married, I just don't see why people continue to do this when something clearly is messed up for lots and lots of couples. The biggest thing that I find just too difficult about marriage is that even if you are truly happy when you get married you have no idea how both of you will be in 10 years. You just have to hope that...

yeah. First 4 ate poisonous mushrooms. The 5th was a bad accident, and died of a fractured skull. Stangely enough, she didn't like mushrooms.

NicksDad, I'm married to a man who tells me every day that he loves me and has done so through the good times and the bad, the beautiful and the not so attractive. He's made it clear both through word and deed that I'm his one and only. I can tell you from first hand experience that it goes a long long way to keeping us together.

Not that they will listen, but I would offer this list of things for young people to do before getting married: Live together, in your own place, and pay bills together for at least a year. Finish any school/college/intensive training, and work in your chosen fields (not just a chit job) for at least a year -- both of you. Be engaged for at least a year, perhaps during the time you're living together and finishing school, etc. Take...
