When I was dressing my daughter this morning I notice on her upper arm a splotch where it appeared pigment was missing. At first glance I thought it was just the spot where I was holding her but when it didn't turn back to match the rest of her skin I thought something was wrong. We can't get a Dr appt until tuesday afternoon. She has been ultra cranky, feeling warm but no fever. I thought these...

It turns out when a baby gets dermititis or alot of dry irritated skin like my daughter does it can take pigment away from other areas to concentrate on healing the others. The doctor gave us a cortisone cream with steriods for where her skin gets irritated. He said it could take six months to a year to get the pigment to return to the area it left.
