Thread: Which was the last DVD that you saw? - BuzzJack Music Forum

Started 1 year ago by JackJones
The last three dvds that I have seen were: X-Files - I Want To Believe: Below average, it was like a two-part X-Files episode, and not a very good one. *½ (out of 5) Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor: Worst of the Mummy flicks, I did like the two first ones. The characters were annoying, the jokes totally unfunny and overall even the special effects boring. *½ (out of 5) The ...

Cloverfield - last night. I thought I'd hate it (a friend had said it was a bit like the Blair Witch Project and I thought that was shoite) but I actually liked Cloverfield. Could have been a tad longer though. Norma

QUOTE(tombliboo @ Jan 3 2009, 04:48 PM) totally agree, I would have liked fifteen minuted knocked off the start and stuck on the end - A surprisingly good movie though completely unbelievable at times My last movie was Hot Fuzz which I had somehow managed to not see before. I thought it was brilliantly amusing just a shame I missed it when it first came out I think those ...

QUOTE(Norma_Snockers @ Jan 3 2009, 07:13 PM) I think those first 15 minutes were needed to highlight the polar opposites of the 'ordinary and mundane' and the 'absolutely unbelievable'. I wished I'd seen it on the big screen now! Pedantic quibble though. The 'video' tape or whatever recording that was being used. Was the city 'nuked'? We were led to believe that it would be. ...

Dawn of the Dead (2004) last night! Not my usual choice of film ... but as the US version of 'Shaun of the Dead' it was pretty impressive. Neigh ... it was better than Shaun of the Dead. Norma

Final Destination 4 Finally got to watch it. As hilarious as the other parts. Really liked the killing scene in the mall on the escalators. Gosh, the biuld up to a rock-in-the-eye scene was so big but the result was so dissapointing I also was wondering how the kids died. Also... LOVED the conception of the x-ray scenes in the beginning titles and in the end. <3 The best movie out of four (by a smaaaaaaaaaall margin though).

QUOTE(Pavel @ Dec 10 2009, 08:08 PM) It was so 'old style' I loved it I also loved the conception. Overall, the film was weird, very weird... Don't really know why i liked it. I want to see it, but have seen as many bad reviews as good ones, in fact the two people I really trust where it comes to reviews, Empire gave it 4 stars, and The Guardian gave it 1, so I really dont know lol. But I am a huge fan of...
