I'm looking for a V-strom or Versys thats 1 to 2 years old but I can't seem to locate one. My other option is to look at purchasing a new 2009. I'm wondering if I it would make any difference if I was to either: wait till the bike show in December and purchase with the intend of getting a deal there; or purchase a 2009 bike now hoping to get some kind if deal based on end of riding season. Solo, Where are shopping for these bikes? When I shop I look at trader.ca, craiglist, kijjiji gtamotorcycle.com I would also look at ADV Rider too. I've never shopped for these kind of bikes so I have no idea what is available. Sometimes at the shows dealers are trying to blow out last years stock. Great deals can be had if you are ready to buy. Hi katapult I've looked at craig's list, auto trader (motorcycle section), at the dealers store- Envy's Rides, Burlington Cycle, Suzuki of Brampton & Kahuna Power sports. No used bikes ( V-Strom or Versys) new only! I'm would like to save some of the extra dealer charges, PDI- Freight etc with the new bike. What do you think? Solo

Unless you need the bike before the end of season, i'd hold tight to the motorcycle shows. I've seen outrageously low prices at the shows. You can also extend your search too. I picked my bike up just outside of Ottawa a couple years ago. It was a super rare find. How far are you willing to travel for the 'right' bike? I've never shopped for the types of bike so i'm not really familiar with...
