The bottom image because the lighting gives it a more vibrant and dynamic look and feel..

Nice photo. I don't like the blurring and loss of texture in the clouds on the second one. Ronny

Is that Feivel's Gothic Glow on the second one? Ronny

I think the treatment you used in the second one is better suited to more simple subjects.

I don't care for the second, but you could bring out the color of the rocks and the swirling water in the foreground with other tools. For play, I did a bit of shadow/highlight, vibrance, saturation. The rocks came out more like your second one, but the clouds were left alone, no blur, and I brought out the swirling water in the foreground. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2642/4058282419_...

I know you wanted a #1 or #2 choice but... I like both. This is an excellent picture either way. Regards, Chris --- http://i945.photobucket.com/albums/ad291/C_R/spsd4 0t2right.gif

I prefer the first picture. The contrast between the light and dark tones seems to be too exaggerated in the second version. Hope this helps. Regards, Tom B.

Great capture! I like #1 because it is tack sharp and is more eye pleasing. It looks just the way I would expect to see this scene. I could easily choose #2 if it was presented as (and framed as) a painting. :-)
