regarding super record ti pedal reliability,ime, the stories you'll hear are mostly regurgitated urban legend and not based on actual personal experience. to date I have approx 65K+ miles on my 1980 vintage super record ti pedals, all original including the bearings and i fully expect many more miles of troublefree use. i've never been a flyweight nor a dainty rider either, having cracked 3 stems and a set of bars on this bike...
