Audioengine A5, period. The Wharfedales will need an amp to power them, the A5s don't. Granted, the diamonds are probably cheaper than the A5s, but when you add in the cost of an amp, it'll be quite a fair bit more. @noinimod Yeah, i did note that the A5's were active speakers and were more inclined towards them so i could shift my reciever back to my room But i just got my hand on What Hi-Fi Oct, and the new Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 just won their group test, dethroning their long time budget king, the Dali Lektors ! Too bad i dun think its in sg yet @jaemon PM sent @Don_cross...

so you already have a receiver. that means you can go ahead and get those passive speakers instead of active ones. This gives you much more versatility than just getting a single input active speaker set, instead of having to swap cables everytime you need to use a difference source. I dont know how big is your room but 90watt output from your receiver should be able to ...
