This is another argument that the Billag people refuse to understand when I waste my precious time talking to them and politely asking them to go away. ...

Hi all, This may be slightly OT, although this is the nearest thread I can find to my question. I have an iPhone 3G, my carrier being O2 in the UK. I'd like to port my iPhone over to a .ch network, but I think jailbreaking will be out of the question for me, as i'm a member of the Apple Dev Con, for iPhone app coding -- I highly suspect it would invalidate my membership. Question is, ...

However, I regularly receive messages from random people around the world asking me to chat with them. They then are automatically added to my contact list and I have to go in once a week or so and delete them all from my list. This ...

Quote: ferry http://mediaserver.digitec.ch/websit...ktivierung.pdf "Eine aktive SIM-Karte (jeglichen Betreibers)" Isn't this instruction mean that you can use any operator with 3GS, bought in digitec? I think they're selling imported phones from Italy that don't have SIM-lock. However, Apple won't service those in Switzerland, so be careful.

Quote: StirB Just got 'my' iPhone back from Swisscom, 18 days after sending it off for 'repair'. They were unable to repair the cracked glass and just sent me a new one. Not sure why they were unwilling to do so, it is clearly possible with some expertise and about 15 minutes spare by the looks of it on Youtube. Not that I am really complaining though, the restore from you iTunes backup is fantastic - had never used it...

My mate uses a combination of torrents and usenet. He likes torrent sites for the fact that he can usually tell by the number of seeders and the comments whether a file is good or not. Usenet on the other hand allows him to max out his cablecom connection at 1.5MB/s, but much of the time its hit n miss until he opens up the file. Do you think I should stop being mates with my mate, I don't want any trouble

Quote: dawiz The Milestone is now available from further Swiss online shops. Apparently, Motorola has started to ship unbranded phones directly to Switzerland again. The Milestone is cheaper here than in Germany and at least handyexpress has confirmed that they're NOT selling imported O2 or Vodafone devices but official ones directly from Motorola. Peter Can you please give an update on how you are finding the phone?

For those in Geneva who want to give give friends/loved ones a PS3 around Christmas, the Media Markt at Meyrin is selling the PS3 slim for 369 CHF until the 30th. Supplies are probably limited, but I saw the ad in the paper and my jaw literally dropped.
