This is, in my opinion, one of the best magical girl animes ever. You're in for a real treat.
The nude transformation sequences didn't really bother me, though what *did* bother me a bit was that they did some of the classic tropes (the ferret is a boy, and she, of course, doesn't know he's anything but a magical ferret, so sees no problem changing with him in the room, though it's just in ...

This was when the show was still ostensibly your typical Magical Girls thing, so I suspect it's very Shoujo.

Cool, Nanoha is a fun show. Are you just doing season 1, or are you going to follow up with A's and Strikers? A's is only 13 episodes and quite good, Strikers is 26, and has slightly wonky pacing (it drags for a while before getting going).
The moment where she transforms, looks down at herself and the look on her face always makes me laugh - I get a full transformation sequence and... ...

Oh *man* does it ever. I'd had no idea, but now I know...heh.
I will say, knowing the background as a porn game also explains the first five episodes :P

It's not that Nanoha's a single mom, it's that Fate is a salarywoman of sorts, off on long job things a lot of the time. Nanoha, to contrast, has a more 9-5 position and probably takes a good chunk of her work home by this point, what with the almost addictive nature of Vivio's sheer cuteness.
