Thread: What's this annoying droining noise in my cab?

There is some weird droning noise in my cab of my 1987 silverado 5.7L. I sound deadened the vehicle, and now you can't really hear anything outside the cab. At least not very well. But everything inside the cab is way worse now, since you don't have all that other road noise and such to mask it. Ok guys, sorry about the extremely late update. I have just been very busy with work and school, and have not even had time to work on the truck lately. So yeah, it's the fuel lines. Even just wiggling them around a little bit has drastically reduced the droning noise. It's still there, but this gives me the confidence I need to get the problem permanently fixed. I wiggled and jiggled them ...

A thin piece of rubber or something in between the tunnel and lines. Mine did the same thing and I put a piece of rubber in between them and let the lines hole the rubber in place. Been there 2 years with no problems and no more buzzing noise.

You can go to napa and see if they have some rubber or maby even some rubber gasket material. If you dont have a napa another local auto parts store should have some also. I would think anything like that would work.
