Thread: What's more important ... Graphics processor or CPU speed?

you can get a 1.83 refurb for 419 from the apple store drop in a t7600 cpu for 281 so you are at 700 you can get a 2.0 refurb for 500. 4gb ram and a good hhd are a push say 140 so the 2009 2.0ghz will cost 650 the 2008 2.33ghz will cost 850 for 200 dollar difference i would take the 2009. if only for the dual lcd and firewire 800 hokup. speedwise they may be close to a tie the 1067mhz would beat the 667mhz for speed about as much as the 2.33...

Which Mini would you rather have?: Previous generation Core 2 Duo with Intel 64mb video ram and the CPU upgraded to 2.33ghz, or ... Latest generation 2.0ghz with NVIDIA 256 mb video ram?

Do you play games? If so, the graphics, and even then 9400M ain't that great for the newest stuff. Processor wise, it's a wash for daily activity. You won't notice the speed unless you're heavily into video encoding or some other activity that's going to push the machine.
