Thread: What you think?

Started 1 month ago by Bryan51
OK, this is my idea, a map that has a river, and this river pass from one side to another the map.... and a boat exclusively to that map... you and your team take the boat and start the fight... What you think?

I think levels should suit the game well. But they should be HUGE! like Delta Halo/Regret sized and have multipul ways to approach the combat situation so that the gameplay isn't linear. Edit: I almost think that Reach will be set up like ODST, we will play as each spartan but not as a full squad thus negating the idea of a Sqad based FPS. Leaning toward more traditional Halo style campaign. ...

Posted by: evanhalo3 I think it should definately be open-world. That way, some RPG elements could be introduced without throwing off gameplay. No. Halo does not need RPG elements.

Posted by: z0rgy M$ wouldn't make money with a FC2 style editor... so they're never going to allow bungie to do such a thing. What if you had to buy this forge update? [Edited on 08.29.2009 8:10 AM PDT]

No Airstrikes or Classes we're not playing Call of Duty here, we're playing halo. If you want air stikes and classes then go play Call of Duty. The whole point of halo is to look for your own weapons and survive if you cant find them. The point is not to start with rockets and a BR, and then kill everyone cause you have ten rockets, then use your BR to kill someone and take their rocket ammo....

I get it now all those looks at the arbiter and Johnson I never understood until now. P.S He might not make an appearance until the end of the game if not at all.

Posted by: Shai Hulud I personally don't see that Halo 3 was "dumbed down" for more casual gamers. I'd be interested to know why you think that. Most of the weapons in the game are short ranged, which coupled with the noob-tacular melee, makes most of the short range combat worthless and generally unsatisfying. The melee is way too overpowered, able to hit anyone within 5ft, taking off full...

Is that forge from halo wars.

Posted by: Matu Flp Krawfe Posted by: Hokage123679 I think forge dies. IDK correct me if im wrong but thats what i saw. Super Novas generally kill people. Or as random people on the internet forums would have us believe, Super Novas generally sent people traveling through time and space to the Battle of Reach. [Edited on 12.13.2009 11:48 PM PST]

Is number 6 a Spartan?
Published (2009-12-13 23:47:00)
Posted by: Bungie2 Im surprised nobody mentioned this yet, but wasn't Linda of the Spartan-II Project called a Lone Wolf? Linda was in space and "died" on her mission and she never touched ground on Reach. When John gets back to Reach and gets Hasley and the others out of the planet, they revive Linda.

Bungie Didn't Break Canon!
Published (2009-12-13 16:07:00)
Bungie broke canon just by those spartans not being on the PoA. EVERY Single Spartan II (Except for Grey Team, and Kurt) Were recalled to the PoA to capture a profit and find the location of the covie homeworld. So, if these are regular Spartan II's, they should be on the PoA with Fred.

Posted by: snaky jones agreed even though bungie dont own the rights, even though theres frank O'connor thinking hes the big man bungie will always be the authority Frankie was one of those men who led the Halo franchise to its current awesomeness when he was in Bungie. Don't. Ever. Diss. Him. Or Mister Chief will get you when you're sleeping. If not, bravo OP. Anyone complaining about canon needs to remember that...
