Thread: What would you do with these styles?

Started 3 months ago by JohnJSal
Ok, here's my dilemma. Slightly poor planning has led me to spend 36 points on Legendary Strike and a full 46 on Fortune's Favor (I only plan to max two of the three skills for each). Now I'm thinking about switching to Iron Palm and Crimson Tears, but I've spent so many points already that I'm wondering if it's worth it. What would you do in this situation? Stick with one or both of the ...

I'd stick with what you have - the sword style is especially good as you can upgrade to the Demon Sword.

The FAQ I read indicated that CT was a little faster with about the same reach. Not sure, though, because I don't have it yet.

I'm strongly considering it because of all the invested points, but it's just that I won't get Demon Sword until chapter 5, and I can get CT pretty much where I am now. I know Demon Sword is about as good, but it's two chapters ...

Actually Crimson Tears is comparable to the Dragon Sword . I'd list the weapons styles in three different levels. Level 1: Golden Star, Fortune's Favorite, Eyes of the Dragon, Tang's Vengence. Level 2: Flawless, Dragon Sword, Crimson Tears. Level 3: Demon Staff, Demon Sword. With each level doing more damage, but also costing more focus. Also chapter 4 is short and you get the demon sword ...

The biggest problem with CT is its lousy reach. Tang's Vengeance is by far the best weapon style. Edited By caradoc2000 on 09/29/09 08:14

Tang's Vengeance has a good reach, and the semi-circle swing enables you to hit multiple enemies at once. It is definitely my preferred weapon. I use other weapons for fun, but if I want to kick some serious behind (or JM mode), TV is the way to go. _________________ "Don't be such a sour fish" - Dawn Star

Which style you pick really comes down to personal preference and play style. If you think Legendary Strike is slow with upgrades (and it bothers you), I wouldn't bother with Iron Palm. You might consider leaping tiger or thousand cuts, while they do a little less damage, they are faster. My best advice would be to play with the various styles and weapons and find what suits your personal ...
