Thread: What the hell do these women see in Todd?

Carlo was amazing..He was a real bad guy without scrupules..He made the show very interesting. Another excellent actor. Conceit is a strange disease. It makes everyone else sick except the person who has it.

I know, I wish he would come back already. The strength of a fighter lies not in his muscles but rather in his heart and soul.

Because despite all of his dysfunctional faults, Todd is charismatic, charming, compelling, memorable, witty, shrewd, unpredictable, wealthy, and doesn't inspire apathy. Meanwhile, TSJ is one of -- if not, thee -- best actors on the show. I can't imagine the show being too interesting if most of the male characters were "good," or apologetically flawed (tedious and forgettable) 'every men' like Charlie,...

Seriously now...I'm asking for legitimate reasons or qualities as to why these women...Tea, blair...they're the mainstays who will seem to love him/want him forever. I sit here watching each episode and I am at a total loss why anyone, especially tea, would love him. Especially after everything he's done to her...if not in the past than just in the last few weeks. Not to knock tsj (though I am not a fan at all) but the writers...

I honestly agree with all this. I guess it's the whole bad-boy-with-a-few-soft-spots-left (namely, his kids, and Viki), but Todd's to me more the dangerous/deadly bad that I'd run screaming from instead of the sexy-bad that I'd be drawn to. I dunno. The way they're writing Blair is no better. She's become disgustingly clingy, and her obsession with all things Todd is really hard to watch at times. She should focus...

I don't get it either. Todd is a total selfish jerk. The way he treated Tea is disgusting. He never gives anyone the benefit of the doubt. He never makes an effort to see their side or hear their defense. Todd and Blair deserve each other. They are both hateful un-redeemable characters that are so ugly on the inside that they deserve to spend the rest of their miserable lives with each other and be un-happy.

I think it's that Todd can be a funny, charming guy when he wants to be. There's a roguish, devil-may-care quality to him that many find appealing. He does and says what he wants with very little concern for how people would react and, while that can be obnoxious, it also speaks to an innate confidence and Alpha Male quality that women often respond to. And there's always the thing with "bad boys" where girls...

Personally I like the character of Todd (well "like" is a strong word, he keeps the show interesting) but I hate to see Tea and Blair fighting over him, I'd rather see them written as strong characters instead of focusing on a man 100% of the time. So Tea allows a boarding school to raise her daughter (????), Starr basically raised herself and no one is raising Jack & Sam.... everything is #2 to obtaining Todd???...

He can be appealing when he wants to. Everyone seems to paint Todd as this deplorable, non-redeemable man...but look at some of the things that all the other characters have done on the show, but yet, somehow they're all redeemable?? Why can't Todd be? Me personally, I like Trevor St. John better than Roger Howarth. He doesn't look evil...something about Roger made him seem really evil in person (I guess it was how he portrayed...

He is really good in bed and has a BIG.............checkbook lol.
