Thread: What is up with the cough?

She has stopped coughing and the flem has stopped. She had not had contact with any other dogs in a month so I already knew that she probably didn’t have kennel cough. She has gotten irritated throat before, but it was never this bad. She coughed once during the nite after we went to bed and she’s playing fine and acting normal again but I will keep an eye on her. I’m still going to call the vet monday.

Take her right away! She may have kennel cough and that’s NOT a good sign.

when my dog did that, it was strep throat.

One of my bostons did that one night and all night long...she had a rawhide bone stuck in her throat. It was horrible. I took her to the vet, had the x-rays and then had to take her a couple hours away to have her scoped. It was very expensive but she is completely fine now. Needless to say we no longer have rawhide bones in the house!
