the kill bill movies are about a woman who is seeking revenge from the people who have tried to kill her, she is pretty bad A** in the movie and she kicks a lot of butt. i wanted to know if there is a feminist view on those movies, and if there is what is it?
I don't think that there's any overreaching "feminist" message in the movies. Let's be honest: men tend to like watching women fight each other up in skintight leather catsuits juuuust fiiiine. Similarly, depicting a woman as good at martial arts is not necessarily empowering, either.
What made Beatrice a good cinematic role model for girls and women is that she had an actual character arc ...
I don't think that there's a general feminist viewpoint.
As for me, I've watched a few minutes of both movies and just couldn't get into them. I remember once I watched "Kill Bill" with a woman who is so much in love with it, she watched it many times such that I have to notice the movie. Well, she is diagnosed with Schizophrenic Paranoia.
And the big girl there, what's the name?? She is boring! I rather watch Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Arnold, etc...

I think they Kill Bill are great movies. It empowers women, I think it shows women can fight, and get revenge. Instead of showing how needy we are, like most movies.Uma Thurman is a great actor.
