Not sure how they are reporting it down south, but our survival rates aren't that bad... --quote-- Canada has some of the best cancer survival rates in the world, and doctors are pointing to our much-maligned public health-care system as the reason. In a report on worldwide cancer survival rates, Canada ranked near the top of the 31 countries studied with an estimate five-year survival rate...

That bad? How bad? I simply stated that cancer survival rates in canada are lower than in the USA. Even though the U.S. health care industry has many problems, The results speak for themselves. We have the highest cancer survival rates in the world. Check out the links.

They technically do. For example elementary school teachers are *supposed* to take their kids out for X # of hours a week for PE. However with other things to do, PE does not take a priority. High Schools and Middle Schools vary, but many do not require it (at all, or enough).

- Is Mate better for you than green tea? - What types of 'caffine' does Mate contain? - Does it make you crash? - Is it bad for you in any way?

romy75 replied 3 months, 1 week ago
Yerba Mate has a lot of vitamins & minerals that are beneficial to overall health, but I drink it for the energy it gives. The taste is not that great to me so I put lots of lemon in it! It is said to extend your life and reduce your risk of some cancers - probably because of its antioxidant content. I would recommend drinking several differnt types of ...

I was wondering about potential safety for children since I have seen that it is absorbed into the skin. I know it is a sun blocking agent. Is it better than titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide?

doctors check pulse along with heart beat temperature, blood pressure etc. to know the health of a person. I don't know anything about just checking the pulse to judge a person....

I won't go so far as to say holistic healing has ever healed anyone but studies suggest that there are numerous benefits to the patient. These include a variety of things such as how quickly the person is back to functioning, etc. All of these things are important. Depression is often noted for those with cancer and other possible terminal illness, there is a direct correlation with this and how ...

Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the connective tissue in the body. Hardening and tightening of the connective tissues and skin is a symptom of localized scleroderma. Systemic scleroderma can affect all of the internal organs of the body. There seems to be a relation between occurrence and heredity. Alternative treatments include meditation , relaxation methods and herbology. The relaxation techniques help...

No, this is a political rumor based solely on the word of Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko , who is running for President. If your baby has swine flu, I advice you contact your doctor for immediate medical advice. Your doctor might give the advice through the phone, since swine flu is contagious. Furthermore, keep your baby hydrated by giving him lots of drinking water, keep your baby rested, give your baby some kind of sponge to relieve fever and give thebaby a paracetamol suspension. -quote- "The European Medicines Agency, which supervises the use of...

Published (2009-12-10 09:16:00)
My daughter is 2 months old (she will be 3 months in about 2 weeks)- She always claws at her face. Normally she does it to stop herself from going to sleep. It doesn't usually mean anything is wrong- babies are just now getting used to their hands -they were confined for 9 months! :) So, sometimes their hands go crazy & wind up all over their face. I can't even name how many times I've gotten clawed!! Don't worry...

Rinse the area with hot water or salt water to remove any tentacles that remain. Fresh water will make the sting worse. Pull off any tentacles with a stick or tweezers, don't touch them with your bare hands or let them touch any other part of your body. Once the tentacles are removed, soak the affected area in hot water. Use water as hot as you can stand; start with very warm and work your way up so you don't get scalded. Then watch...

I started talking to my older son about sex when he was almost 9 or so. As an avid news watcher, my son often picks up things on the news and asks me about them. He is a very intelligent child and we have discussed pretty much everything --- about sex, girls, and or boys, gay people, protection, and sex crimes, how to be aware of strangers, what do do if they follow you, how to respond if an an adult you do not know tries to get you in the...

By the time you even think about talking to your kids they have already heard it all in school from the older kids. I think the conversation should start in about 3rd grade and every year you should ramp up the appropriate level of graphicness, do not make the subject a taboo or kids will really want to do their own first hand learning. Not sure about non-public schools but I had sex-ed in fourth grade, and then again in more graphic detail...

Since you have not specified which drug(s) you're concerned about, it is difficult to provide a specific answer.
