Thread: What is the BEST Cat 9 location?

Started 3 months, 3 weeks ago by sharen24
Since most of the Cat 9 staterooms are under public areas, which location is the best? I'm mostly looking for a quiet area. Thanks!

I chose the area between Rooms 2586 and 2608. Midship. there's no public area overhead. Near the Aft elevators for a quick trip to the drink station (important for me!) Just around the corner from the laundry if I need to do some late night washing. It's on the CC side of the ship for a nice view when in Port there.

We did Cat. 9 3 years ago for our first trip and loved the location SO much for Quitness and convienence to the elevators that we booked the same two rooms again. I would assume rooms close by these two would also be nice and quiet. They are rooms 1074 and 1076 (these two are connecting rooms)

We've had several CAT9s and the best location IMO is underneath the Guest Services desk which is on Deck 3. I'd guess it is just as good on the other side under the excursions desk.

We've stayed in 2062 on the Magic which is mid-ship, convenient to the laundry, a stairways away from Guest Services, etc. We LOVED it. It is, however, right near Ocean Quest on the Magic but I only heard noise when out in the hallway, never in the cabin, so I couldn't care less. I was hoping DD (12 at the time) would actually GO to the OQ since she was, literally, steps away, but no such ...

We have stayed in 2546 several times and I love that location....so very convenient to everything!!! It is just a few cabins forward on the starboard side of the mid ship stairwell/elevators. When we want to go up to Deck 9 or 10 we walk forward to those elevators as the forward elevators are much less crowded than the mid-ship elevators. We walk to all other decks. You will find it ...

We had 2068 on our second cruise and it was virtually perfect. It was quiet, but also close to the midship elevators/ stairs and the laundry. Corinna

Once, we had rm. #2552 on the Magic and rm. #2552 on the Wonder both great state-rooms. Our first-ever cruise was rm. #2574 also a great room. All in the mid-ship location. We just came home in June from our 6th cruise and guess what our flt. number was out of Orlando to Chicago............Flt #2552 ..........boy! Was I happy to land safe & sound.

We have done 4 cruises on the Magic in a cat 9 room; all of them have been all the way forward on starboard. Our favorite room is 2504, because it is bigger because of the outside hull & the inside hallways. You do get a lot of noise from the bow thruster and anchor, but it really never bothered us all that much; certainly not enough for us to not book it again!

we had 2028, 2030 and 2032. 2030 and 32 are connecting. they were wonderful. directly off of the elevator, virtually no noise! I would get any one of those rooms on my next trip.
