Actually- this is for a friend of mine for her homework! We are stuck, because, as Christians, we don't subscribe to this theory at all. It is so hard! Thanks for all the help- everyone!

Well I hope this had helped answer your questions then! and i just hope the answers are what the professor is looking for!

I believe in Jesus and the Trinity. I have read revelations, and believe in the spectacular end of the world as we know it. I also believe that if God is going to end the world in such a spectacular way. . . . .Then why could he have not started in a spectacular way as well???? "The Big Bang" I also believe that Jesus taught tolerance and acceptance. He also lead by example and not force. He does...

Thank you and I understand :) I too get angry with folks who call themselves Christian and then set out to put all others down who choose not to believe the same way they do. I will never understand why so many think that there is no way that "The Big Bang" could not have happened. Why could it of not happened? Believing in The Big Bang, doesn't make God, any more or any less. Why couldn't have ...

Galaxies appear to be moving away from us at speeds proportional to their distance. This is called "Hubble's Law," This observation supports the expansion of the universe and suggests that the universe was once compacted.

RedneckRev replied 11 months ago
Since theory is purely speculative, there is no evidence, unless you subscribe to the theory.

I Love Jesus replied 11 months ago
You are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buenare replied 11 months ago
Actually...he isn't. Scientific theories are not "purely speculative". Now, if you were to say, the "existence of God is purely speculative", then you would be completely correct.

Bah, the last one was posted on the wrong window...but it ironically applies to the "Big Bang Theory" as well.

How can you not subscribe to a theory if you haven't even looked at the evidence for or against it?

Theories are speculative otherwise they would be "Fact" . Facts are not theories

The cosmic background radition is the big one, obviously. The redshift is another.

Visual observation and logic. The visual observation will show that everything is moving apart. The logic to apply is the fact that yesterday everything was closer together. With some calculations you can work out when everything was much closer together. Till you get to the point where everything was in one spot. Regardless of what others say or a favorite two thousand year old book says, if you can trust what you can see for yourself,...
