Video of the actual crash taking place, no pelican in sight: The news story text that's posted with that video says the driver was the owner. That conflicts with what I'd quoted earlier..

I don't know. I can't imagine a guy thrashing a million dollar exotic for publicity but something smells about this.

I am lucky enough to own my dream car, and this is why I don't talk on the cell phone while driving near salt marshes and being distracted by low flying pelicans.

Maybe the Top Gear boys can pick this thing up cheap and turn it into their next car/boat project. They could probably get across the English Channel pretty quickly in that puppy.
