Thread: What if SJB comes back as the "Orginal Carly."

I sure wish folks would stop perpetuating the myth that you "can't go back". Plenty of soaps have brought back the original portrayers of beloved characters after they've been recasted, and done so with extreme success. Tyler Christopher as Nikolas? Julia Barr as Brooke (AMC)? Robin Strasser (Dorian), Susan Haskell (Marty), and James DiPaiva (Max) on OLTL? And the list goes on.

Would you folks be fine with that? Me? HELL NAW! And I spelt Original wrong.

I wouldnt and I'll tell you why. I didn't watch SJB as carly [ I was a little kid], When I actually started acknowledging there was a Carly on General Hospital it was TB playing her. So pretty much the first time I ever saw SJB was when she was playing Claudia. I love SJB though. I watched some clips of her as Carly but I always see Claudia in her since I saw Claudia first. &&I love LW, so I don't really want to...

Nope. I think the crew needs to give it a rest with that. I really love Laura Wright! Don't want to see her go and I really dislike when they re-cast. It's like.. hey.. don't you know thats not really so and so? Lol. SJB was great when she was Carly but I think her time has come to be done with GH.

You can always edit your title. And hell no I wouldn't be fine with that. SJB was an awesome Carly but she decided to leave. I would hate for her to reprise the role. And I think LW is doing an amaaazing job. She's my fave Carly.

No way. She left her Carly role and LW is doing great. TB was also fantastic but she's also gone. You can't go back. It doesn't always work just like JJ isn't working for me so far.

I loved SJB as Carly, but I was a kid when she was on. Just like with JJ's Lucky -- I was a kid when he left. Laura Wright is my favorite Carly.

No thank you! I hated SJBs Carly with every fiber of my GH fan being! Love the actress but I think she's run her course on GH and wish her all the best on B&B. I still don't like Carly but LW has made her tolerable, somewhat. More grown up, more responsible in alot of ways and less of a screeching harpy. Basically she's made Carly more of a 'lady' and I would never want to see that reversed by returning to the...

Laura Wright is an excellent Carly. What would you do with her then? I dont think I could just automatically think of Caludia as Carly all of a sudden.
