Thread: What hose is this?

What hose is this and what does it do? Will and how does it how my engine runs if it is broken and exposed? Where can I buy a replacement? thanks

its a vac line hose. your car will probably not run very good, bad idle loss of power maybe even dieing.

Don't know what its called off the top of my head, but if its broken, you'll have a massive vacuum leak (post-mass airflow sensor) and your car will run like crap.

you dont need to buy a factory replacement, just buy a length of hose thats the same size, i used braided on mine

you dont even need the hose just plug it on the intake and put a breather filter on the elbow coming from the valve cover. i know several people who do that and have had no problems.

what it is a pcv valveit rerouts blowby back into your intake. you can plug it but i don't see why you would just make sure that there are no leaks mine was just a filter on there. i wouldnt reccomend that though. just get some new hose.

I took the filter off mine and just added a water hose it fits fine..
