with your breakie??
I usually have a cuppa..well I need a cuppa to wake me up lol
My boyfriend this morning had coke
'Don't worry Hermione, I'll get rid of it: Chlamydia Disappear-o!'
When I was a teenager my friends and I use to stop at the local doughnut shoppe and have a mountain dew and a doughnut called mountain top. (sugar doughnut with chocolate and whipped cream swirled on top}. It was the best breakfast in the world then......................... ummmmmmmmm today, 35 yrs later all I can manage is black coffee. That still sounds good but my stomach will rebel. Old age I...
Breakie? Cuppa?
I think I need a translation, here. Are you talking about breakfast? Cup of coffee or tea?
"I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew..."
Breakie or brekkie is breakfast of course, though it's not all that common a contraction in British English; more usual in Aus and NZ I believe. (?)
A cuppa is pretty much always a cup of tea, in my experience.
I used to drink two pints of weakish tea with skimmed milk, but now I have a pint of weak green tea instead. It gets the humours flowing and is a cure for melancholy, biliousness, choler and the ague.
I dribble 5 litres of vodka over my corn flakes with 10 cans of lager. After a good puke, I continue on to a Roman banquet with 20 bottles of ChxE2;teauneuf-du-Pape
1976 (good year), along with a crate of Brown Ale. Followed by another bucket, and a mop.

I pretty much alternate between tea and cappuccino, depending on my mood. In the winter, though, when grapefruit is in season, I'll frequently have grapefruit juice instead.
"This is an adventure."
My favorite breakfast is left over dinner, especially when potatoes, or rice, are included. With that, I drink a large glass of fat-free milk. The thought of milk with eggs is just too disgusting. So, on the rare day that I have eggs, I drink orange/other fruit juice.
While I'm eating, I let my Red Rose tea steep in a large mug. I drink it without milk or sugar. Mmmm.
On Sunday, I buy...

Thank you both! I have been educated into something new. My breakfast drink is usually a good, strong cup of black tea, or some nice medium roast Sumatra Mandheling coffee, made in a single-serve french press. No sweeteners or creams, maybe a bit of lemon in the tea. So it's either a cuppa or some joe! "I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew..."

I always drink coffee, made in a cafetiere. Then I like to chop up a heap of vegetables and saute them quickly and eat them spiced up with a little very hot salsa. I have either tortillas or beans with them. Yeah, I know, I'm weird. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
