Thread: What do women see in Bishop?

Started 2 months, 1 week ago by Mr. Versipellis
I'm a straight male, and I just saw a grumpy, bitter ranger with eyeliner in the OC and a girly-voiced man with faves on his arms in MotB. What am I missing? Search 'NWN2' on, say, DeviantArt and all you'll see is pictures of blonde humans making out with him. To be honest, the only romance I've liked out of NWN 1, 2 and MotB is Safiya, but that's because she's basically the same person as my PC ...

It's a good story. He has an attractive avatar (well, that's my womanly view) and well-intergrated in the game's plot (or as well as any other OC character). His behavoir in the end of the game also makes it not a garden variety romance with a smitten knight who wants to marry her the moment he puts his eyes on her. It's a challenging relationship, and it can be easily re-cast for a variety of ...

Quote: Posted 09/28/09 17:37 (GMT) by Mr. Versipellis So you wouldn't like him in real life? To jump in and answer this personally, no. He's an interesting character in the game (provided you're playing a female PC), but in real life he would drive me crazy. That's the case with a lot of characters that I like in works of fiction, though. There are even some fictional villians that I...

I found Bishop's manners repulsive and have played very few characters likely to hang around long enough to see if they improve. I agree that of all the NWN romances, I found Safiya the most appealing, but I do like Gann as well. I like the characters Casavir and Elanee and usually have them in my parties, but honestly they seem more like good friends to my PC. But then, of all the NWN2 cast, ...

Quote: So you wouldn't like him in real life? Hmm, I don't know. I've never met a guy who was orphaned and had to kill to eat since he was thirteen, trained as an assassin and burned his own village in a half-mad revenge scheme, and thenm went on wild mood swings not knowing whether he wants to live or die... In addition, I was not born a fated femme fatale that killed by the score the ...

I'm a meek little geeky boy. =D Heh, that would be a great topic ...

Quote: Posted 11/29/09 17:27 (GMT) by A'ja'la As a player I have no issues with Bishop I think he's an interesting character (one of the most interesting in the game). My character, however, loaths him. Drow women do not take kindly to being called a "***" even if they have been raised on the surface all their lives. Besides I like the idea of a drow woman and a paladin falling in love. Name even 1...

I'm a but fuzzy on the Valen romance as I haven't played it in ages but I think you have to talk to him a lot, not just when he wants to talk to you, ask him about everything you can and also be nice to him. If he dosen't like you enough the romance will not fire. _________________ The Knight Captain's Lady: Book 2 A Male Knight Captain/Neeshka Romance/Adventure A NWN2 OC Fiction
