Chasis - the base structure of any vehical You might be refering to the mudgards as well but they are over the wheels. Front right / left panel

If you are talking about the steel chasis then that's that but other wise there's usually a protector below that that is called a rocker panel. It's generally made out of plastic.

The steel part below the doors is called a rocker panel. It is sometimes covered by plastic to enhance appearance.
