The Hidden Valley Ranch commercial with all the fresh veggies and tubs of dressing makes me hungry every time! Wendy's hamburgers always look so delicious on T.V.

^^^^^I hear ya! It's "the taste you crave." Although a lot of folks like to scoff at the notion of "sliders" I used to LOVE a few good ol' "murder burgers" every now and again. Carl's Jr, whenever I see those commercials for the Six Dollar Hawaiian/Teriyaki/Jalapeno/Whatever Burgers. It's not truly a great experience, but it does live up to the expectations created by the commercials, except without Padma Lakshmi present, unfortunately. -- YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LISA!

We get fewer food ads than we used to. The money seems to be in selling insurance and the services of injury lawyers. Ads for 'Iceland' which is a purveyor of cheap starch and unprovenanced fat make me shudder. I suppose I'm a bit of a sucker for Jamie Oliver telling me to chuck my asparagus on the grill, though that doesn't mean I always go right out and do it.

They're not truly endless, though. They cheat. There was a hilarious thread on the MySpace food board about a guy who stayed there for basically the entire day, determined to get his fill of shrimp. The restaurant tried to space out the shrimp, made them wait a long time, but that only gave him time to digest the shrimp and eat more. In the end he hate like twenty bowls. Apparently they do the same at Olive Garden with their endless pasta...

I'll look at anything purple in a whole new way now. All that Cadbury's subliminal messaging- I wonder if they've done studies in this? I'm an angel, honest! The horns are just there to keep the halo straight
