I have had my MagicJack for almost 2 years now and I LOVE it!!!!!! The few times I had an issue, the customer service was great, and now I will remember to shut it down and restart it and the computer when and IF I have a prob. also to remember to check upgrades..

from everything I know when I went to get it I found out you cant get calls from your loved ones off of it. if he call collect.

i have majicjack and i love it! it's cheaper than any other phone company and it really works. 19.99 for a whole year you can't beat that. now in order to recieve collect calls you do have to purchase a pre paid account or if your loved one can use the money on his books to make phone calls, plus not to mention you can always change the area code and phone number if your loved one is in another state or city to make the calls...

it works best when you forward the magic jack number to another phone. then you can hear clearly. I have two magic jacks, one # is a San Francisco # for my family to call me on without additional charges and I have it forwarded to my cell phone. I too had been very curious about the Majic Jack & if it really worked. I couldn't imagine why anyone would pay regular phone bills when this is available for 19.95 a year, but obviously they do cuz im one of them. Im glad i read this bc this will be the route that i take for our future calling.

Just a few things I learned about using magic jack... First of all, if you have wireless internet your 'dropped packets' could be due to the phone you are using. I have two phones in my house, one 2.4GHz, and one 6.0 GHz. I found out that the lower GHz phone interferes with wireless internet. If I even try to use the phone with magic jack I can't hear much, too much interference. However, if I use the 6.0 it works fine. Found...
