Article: http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/features… I know that most say it is the owners and not the dogs but I just want to know what small dog breeds not on any lists are most friendly and best with cats? ...

Anything that has teeth can be aggressive and bite even you !!

What 'they' say is very very true. Don't go off these lists, they are not very accurate and don't provide the correct information regarding reason why the dog is aggressive. Owners are the main cause to aggressive dogs what ever the breed, the main reason why those small ones made it there is because people baby them and don't train them and fail to teach the dog respect and boundaries. If ...

You're right - it's the owner, not the dog. Which is why when you're considering getting a dog you shouldn't consider media reports or any other nonsense. Just because a breed is not on some fancy list does not mean it will be "friendly" or "good with cats." I myself don't like Chihuahua's because they're too small for my taste - but they're actually really good dogs when they're trained, ...

The dogs were never meant to be aggressive towards people, it's a matter of people thinking it's "cute" when the dog misbehaves and not bothering to correct the dog because the dog is small. Often called Little Dog Syndrome. With JRTs they need a LOT of exercise otherwise they will be monsters. In 99% of cases I would say aggression in dogs is due to the owner. If you are a ...

In my experience Chihuahua's are very aggressive in terms of barking at people all the time. Any dog if trained properly can be made un-aggresive

There will be articles out there stating about all different dogs being the most aggressive only narrow minded people trust them ..... it completely depends on the dog as an individual not the breed! For example i have four dogs 3 yorkies and a jack russell the only slightly aggressive one out of the four is the male yorkie

Miniature Schnauzers are the least aggressive small dogs that I know. A bichon frise is not very aggressive, but it can get annoyed quite quickly due to its instinct from the poodle, which is an aggressive dog.

Actually, all dogs can be aggressive, it's how you raise them.

Havanese. I have that kind of dog and she is cuddly and soo cute. They are really easy to train. This kind of dog is a lap dog. THis means she loves to snuggle. My dog always comes up to me and sits on my lap and falls asleep. It is the cutest thing in the world.

Is that article a joke? No dachshunds are, to manny people treat them like there babies. This causes agression They are warning other people that you are thers and the same with other dogs, which is why they may snap or bite other people and dogs. Also I have heard american people ( only a few) do treat there dog as part of the family, let them up on furniture. (which it all starts) but of course you could have a small dog on the furnisher if...

Ok I have a yorkie poo and she is the most cuddly thing ever. Other dog breeds are West highland terrier, king charles spaniels, basset hounds(not really small), yorkie, ****-zu, mini bull dogs etc. those are some i thought of. But really don't be scared by these articles claiming they know which breeds suck because it truly is the owner. also you mentioned you wanted a dog good with cats. almost any dog can be good with cats if they...
