Same here, Ubuntu 9.10 (netbook remix on a full size ASUS Notebook, very cool looking). I voted PC because it means personal computer, not Windows-Computer (WC) Quote: Originally Posted by sml I cannot vote because I use linux and it is not on the list. Interesting topic, browsing this forum is fun. I surf from the setup below. Everything is still the same from when I took the picture except the office recently gave me a replacement to my aging (but totally reliable) D600 from 2004. Computer is now a D620, 2.0GHz C2D, XPSP3, SSD, 4GB Memory (or whatever a 32-bit system can use). My old setup wan\'t bad, but the the 2GB/1.8GHz single-core ...
selfmade desktop pc, firefox, opera and safari.. im doing webdesign sometimes, so i have all browsers (ie, ff,opera and safari) installed ;) and if someone want to know my os\'s its vista (for playing games) and linux. a dream would be to have a mac.
Most of the time I am using a Dell Precision M65 Laptop. I put an IBM 80 gig Solid State Drive in it last spring and am really impressed with the performance. Browser, IE7 and Chrome.
I use a Lenovo laptop - two years old but has performed faultlessly I browse with Firefox - I used to use Chrome which I liked, but as Tribe mentioned I got fed up with not being able to upload pics to ebay etc so stick to Firefox now. Works very well for me
I have a barebones computer which I recently built from a combination of parts lying around the house after my laptop mainboard went bust :(. Currently have the new Ubuntu and XP on the 2 separate drives but will migrate away from XP asap as it\'s totally unstable (as usualy) and I don\'t like Microsoft. I don\'t like Google either. Big corporations are getting too big and taking over. So I use ...
I have a Asus N81 laptop and use Opera as my browser because it\'s not as bloated as Firefox and imo is faster than Firefox, it also has built in mouse gesters. I know you can add all that stuff on FF with their add-ons, but by the time you get FF with all the goodies that Opera has built in, it\'s way bloated. Oh and it\'s not Internet Explorer from Micro$oft.
i use firefox because i don\'t want to use ie (lagged behind for too long) or chrome (don\'t want my content delivery and webmail / searching to be so integrated, disagree philosophically, i see it as analogous to the net neutrality issue). my personal machine is a thinkpad. lately i\'ve been thinking about joining the legion of man bag wearers and toting a nice netbook to do most of my emailing...

+1 ! My newest mac laptop is the 12" G4. I also like the little 13" macbook with the more powerfull ION graphic. But the glare type display really sucks (and there is no matte option for the 13" version) . I was admin in a 20 people company until march. When i purchased gear i had to check if its "legal". For germany there is a insurance rule which is defining a healthy PC desktop environment...
