Thread: Western Field model 50

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by dinosaur
I have my eye on a Western Field Model 50 pump shotgun and would like any info on years made, and who would have made it. I found that this was for Montgomery Ward, and the serial number is 5 digits (if I remember correctly). Thanks Ray

Several of the big gun companies made stuff for Western Auto/Western Field. My Western Field single shot 12 ga is actually a Savage SB-100B. I haven't seen a catalog lately but quite a few years ago, Numrich Arms (Gun Parts Corp.) had a, sort of, conversion chart in their catalog stating who made what for whom...that's how I found out what mine was.

Here's a crossover list from Numrich (E-gun parts). It seems a bit incomplete...it lists the W.F. model 50 as a Marlin Glenfield 60....a .22 rifle. Maybe it will help somebody, though. http://www.e-gunparts.com/crossref.asp

I have a Western Field 12 pump, it was made by Noble. Noble shoguns are a bit on the low end. Parts can be a pain for the...
