Started 2 months ago by aspiringwriter16

Why does the race of a winner matter?

Sue_A_Sidle replied 2 months ago
Sandra was the only one.. Ozzy came close, he lost by one vote in S13. No Middle Eastern/Arab contestants yet though.

Geez, I'm just curious. Does it matter why I want to know? Just answer the question. And thank you shred. At least you answered.

WolfMarauder replied 2 months ago
If it doesn't matter that you're curious about something, it shouldn't matter if I'm curious about why you asked.

aspiringwriter16 replied 2 months ago
Ok, then. Why I want to know is my business. You were the one who asked first.

I don't know how one can accept another person if they have to ignore a part of who they are just to get along. My point is that I don't see it as part of who they are. Someone's genetics mean nothing to me. Relating to other people and learning to understand, and accept the differences of other people is what kills racism. Relating to others, sure. But I still maintain that from my experience, people don't make things an...

Thanks for understanding people like me, jssamara. Yes it's OK to say you're proud to be white as long as when you do it you're not doing it out of hatred for others. You disagree with the approach we have taken? What do you mean by approach we have taken. Accepting the differences in people? Being able to relate to others? Not associating race with hatred? Race is a description. Some people use that description to cast judgment...

I agree with sandifay where she's basically saying that we should "celebrate diversity", and Wolf, you're basically saying "what diversity"? It shouldn't matter. We're all equal and race is the last thing you see in a person... You both make alot of sense, so it basically depends on how you view race as a whole... Wolf, Sandifay wasn't saying that you're...

I'm simply a firm believer in a society where race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. do not figure into people's interpretations of them. Omg, that's so noble of you, i'm sure no one else in this thread has that belief too.
