The reason this story scares me is because of everything else that's going on. When the gov't starts talking about bailing out newspapers and nationalizing health care, that's going to have an effect on free speech. The digital storage of medical records is a whole 'nuther matter however. There are things in many individuals medical records that are quite normal conditions that have been remedied but could be used be used out of the context of the occurrence to deny rights or even determine if life saving treatments should be administered.
