The fact that a registered voter votes is a matter of public record. Every time I vote, a lady of advancing years makes a check mark on a list of registered voters at the precinct where I vote. The reason this story scares me is because of everything else that's going on. When the gov't starts talking about bailing out newspapers and nationalizing health care, that's going to have an effect on free speech. If a newspaper is being supported by the gov't, then how free will the reporters be to criticize that gov't? Let's say that a family is on a government run health care program and one...

The digital storage of medical records is a whole 'nuther matter however. There are things in many individuals medical records that are quite normal conditions that have been remedied but could be used be used out of the context of the occurrence to deny rights or even determine if life saving treatments should be administered. Now that's scary!
