After a lot of looking, deciding, changing our minds etc etc, we are off to Alicante - Albir to be exact (much quieter) for 10 days r & r. Can't wait, there has been sooooooo much happening here at the moment - lots of probs with offspring - hence my "lurking" mode. But I am deffo going to have 10 days of sun and fun with hubby, who is recuperating after a hernia repair op. I feel I really need ...

I would try thomsonfly.co.uk - they have a fare finder and I'd recommend Days Inn Idrive. I got return flights from NCL and hotel for £250 each last June. You might also want to try flyglobespan.com from Glasgow as they are usually cheap. And as for hotels, there are loads to choose from. Globespan also have some excellent last minute packages (£300 for a week). I'm always looking for a ...

I've been to Florida twice, went in October 2005 and then in August 2006 for three weeks. I'm in love with this place and really want to go back. I was spose to go this August, had the villa booked, but had to cancel earlier in the year because my parents couldnt afford it no more (stupid credit crunch!) lol.... theres 7 of us in our house so its always alot of money. Each time I've gone i have ...

How about Tomintoul? It's lovely and quiet, and a gorgeous drive to get there. I also quite enjoyed Jedburgh. There's the Abbey, of course, but the scenery is also stunning, there's a swimming pool, the castle jail, lots of nice walks to be had...

Hi All, As money is tight at the moment I was wondering if any of you lovely people might own any caravans in the UK or villas abroad that you rent out? We have next years holidays to think about and really want to do them on the cheap. I always forget about posts in other parts of the forum so if you could PM me with any ideas that would be great. Thank you x x

Not sure if you have already been yet but I'm going to DLP next March and am planning to pre book private transfers via a company RS TRANSPORTS . These have been recommended via other forums. I worked it out that it wont cost much more than the bus each way for 2 adults and 2 children. Cannae wait - roll on next year..

If you're landing at Charles De Gaulle, just get a train / the Metro to Disneyland Paris. The Cheyenne's onsite, so it's at most a ten minute walk through a pedestrianised area around a pretty lake from the train station. You should be able to get the RER from CDG to Disneyland Paris, which has its own dedicated train station: Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy. You can get a TGV instead, which only ...

I have been twice, both times i went it snowed, then again it was January. A few more rides have opened since i last went like Tower of Terror, I've been on the one in Orlando and it was great. In the main park I enjoyed the parades and the shows are good in The Studios, the car stunt show on the back lot is amazing. I'm a big thrill rides kinda person, if you are too then you def have to go on ...

We stayed in the Ibis Hotel in paris and that was reasonable. The one we stayed at was by the Arc de Triomphe but there is one closer to the Eiffel Tower. Check out their website.

Places to take landscape pictures
Published (2009-12-08 09:30:00)
Photography Monthly did a great article on landscape photography and where to go to get great shots a few months ago. I'll see if I can dig out my copy and, if I can, I'll let you know where they suggest Off the top of my head, I'd suggest the Peak District (particularly around the Buxton area), the Lake District (but plan for rain), and if he likes bleak then Dartmoor. The highlands of Scotland are just amazing for...

Hi MM Made another batch of muffins, used the recipes on here, but found, for me, they were a bit stodgy, so this is what I did, tweeked a bit, and they are fab! COUS COUS MUFFINS (made on 8 December to following – fabulous!) 1 mug of couscous 1 mug of boiling water 5 Tbsp sweetener 2 eggs 1 tub of mullerlite yogurt or 2 x 125g pots of 0% fat Mercadona yoghurt (used Peach “Melocoton”) as I didn't have any...

Brazil - any pointers?
Published (2009-11-20 12:08:00)
Hi, I'm hoping to go to Brazil next year and wondered whether any one could give me any pointers. Ideally I'd like a two centre holiday which would incorporate seeing: Ipanema Beach Copacobana Beach Iguaçu Falls Rio de Janeiro (Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugar Loaf Mountain) Possibly some trekking in the Amazon. Anyone have any suggestions for suitable tour operators and other things to incorporate into seeing Brazil? Cheers, CC

I went to Brussels via Eurostar back in OCT 2006 and enjoyed it very much. Managed to get the trains + 4 nights in the Radisson SAS for £300 for 2... I still am convinced they made a mistake hehe.
