Hey guys, I am in the middle of a complete repaint of my '76 HJ and want to take out all glass so I can get underneath the rubber and paint.
Do you know the best source to get all new rubber weatherstripping?
Thanks!
Eddie
Just have to add I just put in a 5 speed and changed the diffs to 3.73 and the difference is incredable. Very nice on the highways, but around town it did not make a big difference.

Changing My troopie again
Put some bigger shackles in my Arkana and it still is to low for any kind of wheeling or experdition travel. The water tank under it is the offending area and I don't want to lose it so it looks like I am going to SOA,and possible Saganaw power steering....
Sweet man! There's nothing like the feeling of bringing home an FJ45. Congrats on the purchase and keep updating the forums!

While I was busy cleaning up the rear of the frame William un-covered a 1974 F motor I had picked up about year and a half ago for about a hundred bucks. The PO told me it was running fine and I had no reason to doubt him. I figured we would clean it up and replace the gaskets and rear main seal before we installed it. Notice the home made smog header

Good info and appreciated. I am pretty set on an electric and i WILL likely need the winch. I've read good reviews on the Warn 8274 so that one catches my eye.
So...what about a bumper? I'm not bent on the stock one; as a matter of fact, would it be wise to "save" the stock one and scratch up an aftermarket one? If so, any good experience on looks, functionality and ease of install (read: ...

Thanks Peter. Thats a compact unit for sure. Interesting the inlet and outlet are on opposite ends. I am going to alter the original air cleaner from the donor BJ42 by relocating the inlet and changing the outlet. I will make every effort to make it look clean after powder coating to preserve the original look. I will try this approach first because it doesn't cost anything and I believe I can pull it off.

As far as the ground wire at the W/S wiper switch.....I seem to remember it being a few inches longer and simply attaching to the bottom lip of the dash with a ring terminal to a bolt. Does anyone else know or have pics??
Not sure how long it will take til Gene sees this thread again. Not much time for the puter these days. He's got a new job thats about 100 miles from home, so he's gone from his family a couple of nights a week now, and playing catch up most of the time he's back. He's down to one transportation vehicle at this point, but he and I are working on that. Other things in his life are kind of rocky right now, so the LV is...
Shane, I need you to ship me something with the tail lights when you get them back if you have them. I need the turn signal lamp sockets? They need to be bundled into the turn signal wires before I tape up the main harness. I was looking at Merbesfields harness and noticed yours were missing. First pic shows where they are located in the harness, second one shows the sockets and wires separated from the harness so you will know what you are...
