Thread: Water and sewer usage

Hi everyone, i was just wandering if my water bill is right, i have never pay water and sewer before, because this is my first home. I just want to have and idea if is ok, my first bill, came at $60, first month, the second month came at $78, and now my last bill came at $106, we are at home 6 people ( becasue i have visitors ) and i notice the water usage is leser than the sewer, why is that? ...

Contact the water department for the actual number but each month you pay for a certain amount of water (I believe it is 1000 gallons but not truely sure). The way it is broken down is that you pay a minimum. If you don't go over the 1000 gal mark you just pay the minimum. You pay another amount when you go over 1000 gallons in that calendar month, and pay another amount for each gallon used ...

One thing you can do to reduce sewage is get 1 quart jars and put them in your Toilet tanks. Every 4 flushes that will save you 1 gallon of water and sewage. Even in a low flow toilet it should not affect the flush.
