I'm on Earth. And they didn't scam me... I cant wait to call this guy up. His name is David Follies, He lives 1 hour away from me too. This will be fun.

Kawasaki39 replied 4 months, 3 weeks ago
you might want to cover up his info or the mods will come

RyanFHS replied 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Why is that?

this isnt worth a sticky. good story line tho... if i ever get a money order from a deaf guy, ill be sure to know realize it is a scam also, when u are depositing an amoutn of 10,000 or over, they put a hold on it basically so that IRS can look into how you got the money and why... so with that being said, that person must have had 4K sitting in his bank account already

Extremely old scam but good to point out anyway.

We had a lottery winnings cashiers check show up in the mail...with some made up business/contest for 15,000. My wife was pretty excited as she was the one to open it. After some googling we figured out it was just a variation on the money order scam... Afterwards we were pretty bummed about it...we could have used the money. Thats probably how they get people to cash them...

Like I said, it's a very old scam. You should never release items until the check or MO has cleared - I know my bank will call in every MO I give them before they even deposit it to make sure it's genuine.

ya i think the moral of the story here is to not accept forms of payment that can easily be counterfeited its not that hard to get paypal all you need is a bank account and internet

That would Include the Post Office contacting the Police about you trying to scam them. Not the other way around. You would be at fault not the person who sent you the MO
