Thread: Wake up time?

Started 2 months, 4 weeks ago by sarlero
I've read recently in some posts that babies that are 3 months old should be sleeping 10 hours at night and around 5 during the day.  I guess as they get older they sleep more at night and less during the day as they can stay awake longer.  So, my LO's natural bedtime seems to be at 7:30-8pm.  He's ready to go down and sleeps for at least 6 hours.  Lately he's been waking a bunch at night and ...

My so goes to sleep between 9-10 and wakes up around 3-4am. My alarm goes off at 4am so it's ok. He eats and plays then goes back to sleep for the baby sitter from 6-10am he then sleeps periodically throught the day He is on his own schedule Im happy for that as long as he sleeps at night!

Have you tried a dream feed? My LO sleeps 12 hours a night... 7:30-7:30... but that is a set waketime... if he wakes up one morning at 6 then I let him stay there and he usually falls back alseep... I will also wake him by 7:30-7:45 if he is still hard asleep... but both of those are rare. he is also sleeping 5- 5.5 hours during the day with naps... I started with the wake time (which I chose ...

We did try a dreamfeed when he was younger, but it didn't seem to make a difference in how long he slept.  I suppose I could try again.  I'd really like him to go 7:30 to 7:30 or 8 to 8.

My lo goes to bed anywhere from 6-6:30 and i usually wake her up around 6:00 am because i have to leave for work.  She will stay up until around 8:00 am then takes a 30 min nap.  My lo only sleeps about 2-3 hours throughout the day and the naps are exactly 30 mins.  She always wakes up right at 30 mins.  We also play with her a ton to help get her tired.  She had a few days where she started to ...

Yes your LO will naturally extend their sleep period.  They will go through many changes with their sleep pattern as they get older.  Sounds like your baby is perfect!  My LO is a little behind yours, goes to sleep around 8:30 or 9:00 wakes at 4:00 to eat, right back to sleep and then wakes about 6:30-7:00 happy and alert.  This has already changed 3 times since she came home from the hospital (...

What is your schedule like? How long are your naps during the day and your waketime... You are right, he is a little old for a DF, but he is definitely old enough to be sttn 10-12 hours if you play your cards right... my ped said a baby this age can go 12 hours no problem if they get their calories during the day...

His naps are really all over the place.  Sometimes he'll have good 1-2 hour naps and other days he'll only sleep for 30 to 45 minutes.  We are really trying to work on that - getting him down when he first seems sleepy and working on getting him to sleep on his own.  Generally he has around 4 hours of naps during the day.  I put him to bed around 7:30 or 8 pm and he used to sleep until 4:30 or 5...

My little guy eats around 9 and goes right to bed and I don't hear from him again until 7:30 or 8.  He gets up and eats and is up for a little while and then he takes a long morning nap, an afternoon nap and will doze in the evening.  He is a very easy baby.  I have a 2 yo so he is along for the ride when we run errands and have to pick her up so his schedule does vary some.  Good luck
