Thread: WTB: Resonator/Muffler to fit 2002 E320

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by easyrider13
I want to buy the rear half of the exhaust system to fit my 2002 E320 sedan, 2 wheel drive. I have a rattling inside the front resonator and it would be easiest to just replace the whole welded assembly if I can find it at an attractive price.

I have my CLK500 resonator if you want to buy it. Not sure about fitment, so you would have to find out. Just send me an offer if you want it. If not, good luck with your search. Jon

Before you go any farther you'd better go spend some time in the 210 forum and learn more about your car. You don't have a front resonator, you have two catalytic converters on each side, one resonator, and one muffler. The cats often rattle. If you're not over 80,000 miles and are in the US they are warranted, so call up the dealer and get it in.

I've heard some refer to the muffler as a resonator, but I don't want to get involved in semantics. Both of us know what I'm talking about. Something is rattling inside the rear of the resonator at idle. If it is debris from a cataytic convertor, I (fortunately) haven't thrown any codes. I have 110,500 miles on the car. It is my fifth Mercedes.
