I have the same issue, but then with Windows Server 2008 R2 running as a gues in VMware Server 2. USB2 devices: no problem; USB1 devices: need to do a scan for new hardware to let windows see them.

Hi,
I want to report an incompatibility that I have encountered.
Using VMware Workstation 6.5.3 with Windows XP Pro SP3 (x86) as host and Windows 7 (x86 Pro, MSDN RTM release, not a beta) as client.
We sell spectrometer boards, one for USB1, with a Philips PDIUSBD12 USB controller, and one for USB2, with a Cypress FX2 controller. Both have kernel device drivers patterned after the DDK ...
