Thread: Vista ?: UAC Disables Network Connection

I reinstalled Vista after an upgrade and afterwards my Network Access shows to be denied and the little icon in Task Manager has an X over it. I can still surf the web, but I cant download anything. If I try to download anything, its just sits there saying contacting server then times out like the link was invalid. I turned off the UAC and everything works perfectly (network icon is ...

Hmm. With UAC on and you are connected the the internet, open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes. Paste the results here.
